Privacy
EssayDetector analyzes the text you submit for that request only. Submitted text is not stored in an account or repository, and it is not shared afterward.
Free usage is tracked locally in your browser only (five successful checks per day), and an anonymous per-day counter can be enforced server-side. Failed or incomplete requests never consume a check.
The result is a bounded pattern signal. It cannot prove who wrote a text, and it must not be used alone to grade, accuse, or discipline anyone.
API requests follow the same rule: submitted text is processed for the request and never persisted. API keys are stored only as hashes, and usage counters keep the word and request totals needed to enforce your quota — never the text itself.
Cookies and analytics are minimal: no account cookies are set for detection, and optional analytics are privacy-minimized categorical events only.
Advertising: Google AdSense display ads may appear after detection results. They are not part of the first-screen Review text action. Publisher id pub-9323379473925398. Google may set cookies to serve ads.
Amazon Associates: some pages recommend books and stationery through Amazon search links tagged mentalcraft-20. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Clicking a recommendation opens Amazon. Submitted drafts are never sent to Amazon.
